About Katrina

Katrina was born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois. They began drawing at an early age, following step-by-step tutorials on how to draw anything from dragons to their favorite band members. It wasn’t until college that they became engrossed in printmaking.

Katrina’s earlier studio work explores their relationship with depression, something they’d struggled with for many years. Recently they’ve turned to animation to process the grief after losing their father. Katrina received their BFA in New Studio Practice: Fine Arts from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in 2021.
